I am happy to report that I have a digital recording device that I borrowed from some friends. Until I buy one of my own, it is something to practice on. I hope to be able to record some of the songs I've written. If it goes well, I hope to post them on here. We'll see what the Lord works out. But for now, I am simply happy with the possibilities.
I have written around 20 songs over the past 8 years, primarily the past 5. They are all near and dear to my heart because they express my feelings about and toward the Lord and His work in my life. They usually come to me when I am spending time learning about or praying to or praising Him.
I am under no illusion that they are all Dove Award material (though my husband maintains that some of them should win it (Do you know rose-colored glasses get thicker through the years?)). However, it is a great blessing to me to have 'new' songs to offer to my Lord, King, Savior, Friend. I appreciate them and thank Him for the gift of them. And I try to share them with whomever I feel they may bless.
